Soulful Senior Portrait
I try to let a portrait inform me rather than impose an ‘outside in’ projection upon it. Which means getting out of my own way. Presence over mind. We both have to enter a space that is larger than each but of which we are a part. It is not a procedure or formula. It is simply connecting authentically. So, here it’s not a senior portrait but a soul before me who happens to be journeying his senior year of high school.
