Session and Delivery:
The session takes place at my studio, your home or an area park/venue. The studio option is for one person sessions only. Please plan a few hours so you do not feel rushed.
Unless otherwise stated, you will receive an online gallery about two weeks after our session. Your gallery is then live for two weeks, within/after which we will connect by email or phone to complete your order. Delivery time for prints and files is two to three weeks depending upon the order.
Studio:
Studio address is 1735 Westlake Ave North, #202, Seattle WA 98109. You can Map It !
Westlake Avenue North runs up the west side of Lake Union; not to be confused with Westlake Ave by Westlake Center downtown. I am on the non lake side of the street.
Metered parking is across the street. You can use the green meters on the sidewalk or the Pay ByPhone App if you have it on your phone. Parking is free on the weekends.
The building is painted dark gray, doors are bright red and the entrance is on the NE side of the building – double glass doors on a slant under an overhang. Doors will be locked. Please call my cell: 206 624 7474 and I will come down to greet you. And if you have a bit to carry, call me from your car and I will gladly run down and help carry things across the street.
ALERT, ALERT, ALERT: The street is very busy and the first lane upon crossing is paved a lighter color than the rest leading clients to intuit that it is the side of the road. IT IS NOT. Please stay up and back from the curb until there is a break in traffic. It is a very busy street and dangerous. Please be very mindful when you arrive!! Alternately there is a walking bridge a bit south of my studio. You can park close to it, cross and walk up to my building from there.
Clothing, Hair, Make Up:
I recommend Simple. Keeping the clothing simple allows the focus to be on whom is being photographed. This makes for more powerful and timeless images. Suggestions: I request one mid to dark tone solid top. And one lighter tone. Long sleeves and simple neckline are best. A crewneck or turtleneck classic shirt or sweater. No logos or writing please. You are, of course, welcome to add anything additional and different, more creative perhaps (whatever you love) from what I describe above. We can work with two to three choices overall. Be comfortable both physically and in style. If you intend your images for business purposes, keep the above in mind as well as what you wish to project to your clientele/audience.
Outdoors: Jacket or sweater if chilly. Shoes that are comfortable for walking and that can get damp.
Hair and Makeup: I suggest what you normally do on both. If you wear no make up, a bit of power is recommended for shine and a hint of lipstick.
Fees, Payment and Cancellation:
The session fee is due upon booking. If you need to change your date, 24 hours is requested, more if possible. In the event of serious rain we will shoot indoors or reschedule. Session fee and files/prints are all subject to WA state sales tax. The only exception is if all are solely for commercial use. All orders are custom; as such payment is due upon receipt of my invoice.
Travel: my initial 20 miles are complimentary after which I bill at $1/mile. Toll fee is $15 round trip. Ferry destinations incur a charge of ferry fee + $5.

Your unlimited usage rights are granted with any image for which you purchase an image license.
It is understood that Mary Grace Long Photography, LLC retains copyright of all images, as well as rights to use for her promotional purposes, in print and/or online. If you prefer any imagery of you not to be used for said purposes, please be sure to let me know.
