Most of the photography ops of the Bushes up in Maine were of The President and his cabinet or visiting world leaders. On occasion Mrs. Bush and sometimes the family would be present as well. My time in her presence was not up close nor often but on those rare occasions, as here, she exuded a buoyant no nonsense personality, warmth, and a quick wit. What does it take to be the wife (followed by mother) of a world leader? I am sure one cannot even begin to know until they know- but great inner strength is mighty high on that list no doubt. RIP Mrs. Bush.
